"3 percent of the decision-making in media comes from women. That means 97 percent of how women are portrayed is decided on by men."

“Wonder Women! The Untold Story of American Superheroines” (via ihopeyoucontinue4ever)

It also means that 97 percent of how men are portrayed in media are decided on by men. Something to remind MRAs and their ilk of when they complain about the stereotype of men as inept slobs, bad fathers, etc in media and advertising.

Men have the power. So when we men are shat on by the powers that be you don’t get to try and blame women for that.

How much of that is white men tho?

(via howtobeterrell)

Also of that 3% it’s mostly white women

But Dirk Benedict (Templeton “Faceman” Peck from the A-Team) will still try and tell you that TV is run by a lesbian conspiracy

Hey man, did you draw your page's background? It is too cool! Holy shit. You should make the next spirited away with an imagination like that, man!

Glad you liked it! It’s actually art from a guy called Imperial Boy. You should check him out, he is pretty awesome!!

I went with Carol ripping up a Playboy* as the idea of her tearing up the very cliched idea of what a woman should be like fits very well into her rebranding by Kelly Sue DeConnick and Jamie McKelvie. The job he did on redesigning Carol’s uniform was amazing. It’s on the same level as Gil Kane redesigning Green Lantern and Flash in my eyes.
It’s an amazing comic too, you should check it out!!
*Nearly did a Cosmo, as the idea of women teaching women to hate themselves is really hateful, but the Playboy fits in better with her redesign into a super cheesecakey costume into something actually useful.

Angelina Jolie had a double mastectomy, in case you hadn’t heard. How dare she remove those ticking time bombs from her chest, amiright? Like, hasn’t she learned by now that her body is public domain and we all get to vote on what she does with it? Sheesh, how selfish can ya get.

“At least I got help.”

Amazing work by my buddy Jordan. I’d watch that movie.

Working on this Captain Marvel piece, what should she be ripping up? Picture of her old costume? A Cosmo? Playboy?

A Hawkguy for you, Internets.
if you aren’t reading Matt Fraction’s Hawkeye series, you are missing out, boy oh boy. It’s essentially Clint Barton’s life outside being an Avenger and it’s hilarious. He has gotten some amazing artists working on the book, the main artist being David Aja who has to be one of the best illustrators working today.
I’d love to see more books about superheroes and costumed adventurers that have no real superheroics or any adventuring.

This is me doing Stand-up at Battle of the Axe, Ha’Penny Bridge Inn on the 9th of April 2013.

I’m pretty sure Obi Wan has heard of the Falcon before and is just trolling Han.

“Enjoy your death trap, ladies!”

Definitely one of my favourite episodes.
